Evento aconteceu no auditório com a presença de todas as turmas.

Nesta manhã (21/11), os alunos da segunda série do Ensino Médio promoveram diversas atividades abordando o tema racismo, um alerta para a valorização da cultura afro-brasileira, em comemoração ao Dia da Consciência Negra. Teatro, recital de poesia, desfile e palestra fizeram parte da programação.

Na encenação de uma peça teatral que tratou de racismo, duas mulheres, uma branca (Ana Maria) e uma negra (Maria Eduarda), buscam roupas em uma loja de luxo, onde a vendedora (Ana Júlia) discrimina a personagem negra. Ao presenciar o preconceito, entram em cena os alunos Elso Neto, Ítalo Sousa e Samuel Fagundes para repreender a ação. Os mesmos trouxeram informações sobre o crime de racismo, instituído pela lei 7.716 de 05 de janeiro de 1989.

Já a aluna Débora Samara falou sobre a importância do dia 20 de novembro. A data foi criada em homenagem ao líder do Quilombo dos Palmares, Zumbi, símbolo da resistência negra no Brasil. Os alunos contaram ainda com a presença da mestra em políticas sociais, Ludmila Suaid, que falou sobre a Lei do Crime Racial e o racismo institucional. Suaid abordou diversas situações cotidianas enfrentadas por negros e esclareceu a diferença entre racismo e injúria racial.

A mestra apontou também as dificuldades da mulher negra no mercado de trabalho e a necessidade de debater o racismo institucional dentro das empresas. “Devemos lutar contra o racismo. Não bastar não ser racista, é importante ser anti-racista”, afirmou, alertando sobre a importância de combater esse tipo de crime.

Depois da palestra, a professora de gramática, Mayara Harine, idealizadora do evento, recitou a oração dos desesperados, do mineiro Sérgio Vaz. O evento foi finalizado com um desfile de alunos de diversas turmas.

A ação de celebração do Dia da Consciência Negra foi promovida pelos alunos do segundo ano e a professora Mayara Harine, com o objetivo de despertar o debate sobre um problema cotidiano que precisa ser combatido com veemência.
