A turma do 6º ano do Ensino Fundamental II, teve cerca de um mês para realizar o andamento do projeto “Formas Geométricas”. Juntamente com a professora de matemática, os alunos aprenderam sobre as formas geométricas e o quanto estas formas são cotidianas e fáceis de serem encontradas no mundo em que vivem. Os alunos dentro da sala de aula ouviram sobre as faces, vértices e arestas, aprendendo a identificar quais são estas partes dentro do sólido geométrico. Após este momento em sala de aula foi passado o exercício para casa, para a produção dos objetos em formatos geométricos, com palitos, canudos, material dourado, papel e outros materiais. Os alunos voltaram para dentro de sala com o exercício pronto, e aprenderam em detalhe o que é cada parte dos sólidos geométricos, e também o que são os sólidos em geral; descobrindo as diversas figuras, e quais são classificadas como redondas, primas e outras. O exercício foi fixado com uma nova produção dentro da sala de aula, juntamente com a professora, que incentivou os alunos a construírem a figura que mais se interessavam. Após isto, foi programada e realizada uma exposição para que os alunos pudessem expor estas figuras geométricas produzidas, mostrando para os colegas do colégio o aprendizado que tiveram. O aluno Marco Antônio informou que considerou o trabalho muito interessante pois aprendeu que as formas geométricas estão em tudo o que o rodeia. “A forma geométrica que eu mais gostei foi o paralelepípedo, pois tem a forma de uma caixa de sapato, tem a forma de algumas casas, e de muitas outras coisas que existem.” Também afirmou o mesmo.
